EA is hosting the Behind The Sims Summit today, with promises of some big announcements for the gaming franchise.
Many simmers are theorising that we could get more information about Project Rene/The Sims 5, which was briefly shown off at the last Summit. EA has also teased that a major update for infants is on the way, so the livestream could be the perfect place to show off gameplay.
Whatever the announcement, we have all the details you need to know to tune into the Behind The Sims Summit. We also have similar articles for the watching the Nintendo Direct, and Sony’s State of Play.

The Behind the Sims Summit will take place today, Tuesday 31 January 2023. Here are the start times for different parts across the world:
- UK: 5pm GMT
- US West Coast: 9am PT
- US East Coast: 12pm ET
- Central Europe: 6pm CST
How to watch the Behind The Sims Summit livestream
You can watch the full Behind The Sims Summit livestream over on the official Twitch channel for The Sims. At the time of writing, we can’t see a scheduled YouTube broadcast as well.
What news will be revealed at the Behind The Sims Summit livestream?
EA hasn’t revealed anything specific, but previous streams showed off news for PC, console and mobile titles. We also have an idea of what EA is currently working on, and therefore may show off at the next livestream.
In the last Summit, EA teased a big free update for the infants life stage. There hasn’t been any news on this since then, so there is a chance of more information on this subject.
In addition, we may get more news on the development of Project Rene, AKA The Sims 5. Last time, we saw a glimpse of the build mode, so perhaps this time we will get a look at the Sims themselves.
EA also shared a teaser video earlier this month promising two new kits and one new expansion pack.
Tune in to see all the news for yourself.
