If someone you know has a Dyson Supersonic on their Christmas list, this is a deal you’ll love.
Dyson’s game-changing hair dryer is one of the most-wanted styling products around. We gave it 4.5 out of 5 stars in our review and praised its “astonishing performance”. But it is expensive and rarely discounted.
Until now.
Currys is running a deal on the Supersonic which ordinarily costs £329.99, but is now £50 off the iron and fuchsia colourway. If you want one, you’ll have to be fast. The deal ends on Sunday, 4 December.
This discount isn’t available in the US, as Currys is a UK-only retailer. However, there is a deal on a refurbished Supersonic at Daily Sale.com for $229. There are several colourways available.
The Supersonic comes with five styling attachments, including the new flyaway tool.
Dyson
This is inspired by professional stylists and aims to create a smooth, salon-quality finish. Directing the airflow around the curve of the attachment, it creates a Coanda effect, pulling your hair straight and preventing flyaways.
We tested it and can say that it works well and is easy to use, even at the back of the head, by rotating the magnetic attachment to a convenient angle.
If you miss this discount, ordinarily we’d point you in the direction of Dyson’s refurbished products, where you can usually pick up a Supersonic for less. However, they are out of stock at the moment – it’s in high demand at this time of year.
Instead, we’d suggest checking out the Laifen Swift. It’s a Dyson clone: a powerful, mallet-shaped, hair dryer that comes with magnetic styling attachments. It comes in a range of metallic colours. We gave it five stars in our review.
